Description: SPECIAL HOBBY/ MPM 1/72 Scale Hawk III Model 68 “First Chinese Ace” Kit SH 7223 This listing is one of about 20 that cover aircraft used by the Chinese Nationalist Air Force during WW II. As China was fragmented into Warlord controlled fiefdoms, it was impossible for the government to launch a coordinated armament acquisition program and this resulted in the wide variety of aircraft represented by these kits. The kits vary from the more common and widely produced injection molded models to the one off, limited edition vacuum formed specialty kits. Thanks for looking. This kit is for the fourth model of the Hawk series of fighter/bomber produced by Curtiss aircraft, and first utilized by the CNAF in 1937. The Hawk III was used successfully against the Japanese bi-plane fighters and bombers, but was inferior to the next generation of Japanese monoplanes, the A6Ms and Ki-43s. This is a highly detailed plastic kit, with a detailed cockpit interior and additional resin, photo etch parts and film and water slide transfers of CNAF markings. Please ask any questions prior to bidding. I try to be careful in my descriptions, and no returns will be accepted unless the kit is not as described in the listing. I will gladly combine items for shipping, where possible.
