Description: Manny's Vintage Mintage presents.. The idea of publishing oversize books, in small limited runs, that scanned - in COLOR - complete stories of original black & white comic book page artworks and printing them the same size as the original art itself, was started in 2010 by Scott Dunbier at IDW, and the IDW book releases are called ARTIST'S EDITION(S), or ARTIFACT EDITION(S) when incomplete stories are presented. The book mimics the experience of actually holding and viewing the comic art pages themselves. Contains the complete Eisner Award-wining Sin City graphic novel originally published as chapters in the Dark Horse Presents Fifth Anniversary Special (1991) and Dark Horse Presents v1 #51-62 (1991-92).All pages shot in color from the original art, and reproduced at the original artwork's size! Includes a new introduction by film director Robert Rodriguez, afterword by Dark Horse publisher Mike Richardson, and an interview about the artistic process with Frank Miller! Condition: I bought this as NEW, and paged through it once, leaving it in Like New condition. However, the comic store that shipped this to me created packaging - i did not receive it in the original Dark Horse shipping box - that resulted in bumped corners [see pics]. It also must have been on display in the store for a short while, there are the slightest of surface scuffs to the covers. I PROMISE that my packaging when you buy this will be bump-proof so that what you see in these pictures is exactly what you will get, without further harm.
