Description: Shimano Technium TNC-116MH2. These rods are VERY similar to the G.Loomis Samr. Or the Lamiglas Kenai kwik. These are a graphite/glass composite that are tougher than 90% of the composite rods out there. This rod has a Fiberglass core (very durable) wrapped in a carbon x patterned wrap up the blank. Imvho Shimano has perfected this method. I use the rods for several methods , troll, float, plunk. The rod was designed to cover these methods. These rods will also run plugs like a champ. Imvho I’ve been salmon fishing for 35 years now. Composite rods rods like this are usually not had for less than 275.00 (quality ones) I will put it like this, sometimes a random sturgeon will grab a herring, or even a plug.
