Bowls like this appear in both the Corn King and the Corn Queen catalogs, but Corn King has a more intense shade of yellow and less intense shade of green. This bowl has the shades of yellow and green, to be Corn Queen. Production of Corn Queen began in 1954 and Corn Queen was still being manufactured when Shawnee Pottery went out of business in 1961. The rim has a diameter of almost 8" and it is approximately 3 3/4" above the surface it is setting on. This bowl is an old item that was used. It has 0 cracks and 0 chips, however it does have glazing issues and other minor manufacturing imperfections. It shows signs of age and use. It is ready to be displayed or used.
