Description: SFBJ Paris 11 Antique Jumeau French Bisque Head Steiner Body Size 11 Doll antique Silk Dress. 24” tall Beautiful clear bisque head with fabulous blue paperweight eyes! Her beautiful complexion, eyes and imprinted markings indicate an early original SFBJ Jumeau made 1899+ manufacture. Original human hair wig tied up into 2 braids, and cork pate glued to head. Wig sparse in back. Her awesome antique gown is trimmed with lappets, cuffs and collar of a beautiful rust colored silk taffeta with tiny pleated trimming and antique black silk appliqués., laces and passementerie. The cuffs each have a tear that could use a few stitches, but don’t show. The underdress is of an apricot silk satin that has softly faded in places to an subtle ombré effect that is very natural looking. She has a black antique silk slip and a white cotton one. Socks and shoes are not included. The matching hat has the same trims, black lace netting and floral decoration. The hat is a little small. Antique glass earrings. This Steiner 5 piece body has the prominent big toe classic in Steiner bodies. This body is from the 1890’s. Hands/arms may have been repainted. One finger repaired. Really nice body.
