Description: Selmer Sopranino #228xxx from 1975This horn really wowed me when I first tried it. By far the nicest tone of any sopranino I've ever tried. The Yani's and other brands do not come close.A one owner horn that comes to me from a friend who's dad was Alto Reed, the saxophonist of the Bob Seeger band. This was not a horn he took on tour and it shows in how clean it is,The pads are seating well and it plays fully. But it has sat for a long time and a setup by your pro tech would enhance its performance. The pads in it are working well and do not need to be replaced. You can see that the lyre mount has been removed. It is included in good condition but no lyre. I've been selling pro horns for decades, never had anyone ask me for a lyre..The case is original and in super nice condition. Two Selmer mouthpieces included a C-Star and an E, both original. His box of Vandoren 2 1/2's has some unused reeds still in it.A new Selmer is $14,000 and my pro player friend who tried one in the Paris showroom, far preferred his 235xxx similar to mine.USA Shipping included. Please check my feedback as a saxophone seller, thanks. Many first time listings coming. Check my feedback!! I've been selling saxophone equipment to players worldwide for several decades with many of the worlds best players as repeat customers..I'm a small business focused on your satisfaction.
