The drive powers up and runs when the SCSI cable is disconnected from the back for the drive. Connect the cable and the drive remains quiet and not spinning. Strange and I cannot figure out why a simple cable would make any difference. There is nothing connected to the cable except the connectors on the outside of the case. The termination does not affect it. Pre-owned. Very good condition. Well packed. All of our items are sealed in plastic to protect from weather. When we closed our warehouse we had to scrap out over 100 computers of various types, Apple, IBM, IBM clones etc. We sold a lot of compter boards, drive and keyboards on ebay.
