Description: An early 20th century reproduction print of famed Belle Epoque actress SARAH BERNHARDT (1844-1923), **HAND SIGNED/INSCRIBED** by her "To my fan". The signature is in ink at lower right (guaranteed her original ink signature and not printed). The print is after the 1879 etching by artist Jules Bastien-Lepage. showing a very young Sarah. This print under magnification has the dot matrix confirming it is a reproduction and not an original etching. The value is in the autograph and inscription. Bernhardt of course was one of the most famous actresses in the world, performing for decades on European and American stages, and acting in some of the earliest films. She was called "The Divine Sarah". Print measures 9" by 7" inside the present mat. There is some old blanching at left center, perhaps due to old moisture. A low value worn mid 20th century frame may be available at no extra charge (not pictured). Shipping would likely be slightly less if shipped without frame.
