Description: Up for sale is an incredibly rare SALVADOR DALI ORIGINAL Signed Etching circa 1968, known as, "Golden Veal" from the Faust Series. It is an exceedingly rare Limited Edition # 3 of 95. This is the rarest of the rare as there are virtually no sales records for this smaller limited edition of 95. It is believed this limited edition was produced as stand alone peices rather then from the 145 limited edition set where Golden Veal pieces can still be found and purchased occasionally on the private market but they are rare as well. Most auction records are from the edition of 145 making this edition of 95 one of the rarest Dali hand signed and colored etchings ever produced. It features real gold paint on a hand laid paper with embossed seal and signature over top of the embossed signature. The edition of 145 does not feature the original Dali pencil signature, only the embossed version on the right bottom. The left bottom is the handwritten number of 3 out of 95 by Dali. The total piece measures 24 3/4" x 19 3/4" total in frame with the piece being roughly 14" x 10" sight size visible within the matte. It is is outstanding mint like condition and well preserved in the acid free matte and frame, ready to display. This is the only version of this piece I have seen in my 35 plus years as an art buyer and antique dealer. I guarantee it to be an original authentic hand signed original dry point etching by Salvador Dali. I am retiring so selling some of my finest pieces, all must go so feel free to make an offer.
