Description: This is a rare large rolltop sorting chest in solid tiger oak well over 100 years old. It measures 26 inches tall, 16 inches wide, and 14 inches deep. Each one of the twelve cubbyholes measures five inches by five inches with a depth of 11 inches. It is in unusually wonderful condition, with minor damage consistent with age and use. The only issue is small losses on the rear surface (which doesn’t show anyway) as pictured. This is a display window quality antique. The rolltop mechanism works beautifully and the escutcheon lock has its key and strike plate. I’ve owned this for more than thirty years, and it has been waxed and polished with great care countless times. I love it, I’ve loved using it, but we are downsizing out of necessity, and so it has to go. It can be picked up at no charge, and I’ll even deliver it for free anywhere in Miami-Dade or Broward counties here in South Florida. The item itself weighs just short of 35 lbs. without the packing materials, so if you cannot pick it up or have me deliver it here in town, please take the shipping costs into account when making your purchase. I’ve priced it to sell, so if you love it like I have…better grab it before someone else does. We do not make a profit on shipping charges. We only charge actual shipping costs. Any shipping overpayment will be immediately refunded.
