Description: Russian LONG SLEEVED "TELNYASHKA" Pullover Shirt with NAVY BLUE (dark blue) STRIPES BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND, this telnyashka features dark blue stripes as opposed to traditional black stripes of the shirts used in the Russian Navy or the light blue stripes used by the Russian Airborne troops. Many of our customers have been asking for an “in between” version, so we finally managed to purchase a limited quantity at the same factory that manufactures shirts in other colors for various branches of Russian military and law enforcement. This is shirts are an EXCLUSIVE, limited edition offer from Atlantic Crossroads, Inc. / CollectRussia.com, and currently not offered for sale by anyone else in Western Hemisphere. New, unissued condition. In cotton; a comfortable, stretchy double knit. The stripes are woven not printed and are as dark blue on the inside as on the outside. Currently made in Russia but virtually indistinguishable from Soviet era navy / merchant fleet sailor shirts. Since this is actually an undershirt, the sleeves probably aren't supposed to reach all the way to the wearer's wrist. In many cases, Russian servicemen wear them pulled back up their forearms well toward their elbows. The telnyashka is available in following sizes: Size Men's Small (Russian size 44-46). Measures approximately 36" under arms around the fullest part of the chest. The sleeves on these seem to average about 21" in length from shoulder seam to "cuff". Please Note: The original packaging of the 44 - 46 size shirts is open, but the shirts themselves are unused. Size Men's Small to Medium (Russian size 48-50). Measures approximately 38" under arms around the fullest part of the chest. The sleeves on these seem to average about 21.5" in length from shoulder seam to "cuff". Size Men's Medium (Russian size 52-54). Measures approximately 40" under arms around the fullest part of the chest. The sleeves on these seem to average about 22" in length from shoulder seam to "cuff". Size Men's Medium to Large (Russian size 54-56) Measures approximately 42" under arms around the fullest part of the chest. The sleeves on these seem to average about 22.5" in length from shoulder seam to "cuff". There is a minor yellow streak on the 54-56 shirt (shown in our photo), but it's not very noticeable or detractive. Size Men's Large (Russian size 56-58) Measures approximately 43" under arms around the fullest part of the chest. The sleeves on these seem to average about 22.5" in length from shoulder seam to "cuff". Size Men's Large to Extra Large (Russian size 60-62) Measures approximately 44" under arms around the fullest part of the chest. The sleeves on these seem to average about 23" in length from shoulder seam to "cuff". PLEASE NOTE: a telnyashka should be washed in cold water and never in hot. It will shrink about a size if you wash it in warm water. It should probably be line dried rather than dried in a drier. Please remember: these are always worn very close-fitting (much tighter than in our photograph!), so expect your new shirt to have a very snug fit!
