Egg shaped, with a flat bottom, the see through crystal top is etched with star-snow flakes around the perimeter and at the top. The scene inside is of a white teddy bear with a red scarf, in front of a Christmas tree. His nose is pressed to the glass, almost like looking out a window for Santa. Lightly shake it to see small snowflakes fall. The porcelain bottom is hand painted in green, and blue with yellow stars. The top and bottom of the blue stripe is a border painted in gold and dark red. The metal accent and hinge is in a bronze color and the closure is an adorable teddy bear. Inside is a beautiful metal filigree snowflake, and the bottom inside half is white porcelain. The bottom is marked Hand Painted Rochard Limoges France. A wonderful gift for the avid collector! Great condition. Gently displayed on a small table in the early years, but has been gently stored for many years. Hinge and teddy snap closure in good working order. Note: The snow still moves when shaken, but a little bit of the snow seems to stay near the teddy bear's nose. I believe this may be intentional as his nose rests so close to the glass.
