Description: A Fervor Records CD release of 22 retro/easy listening songs and demos by Arizona singer/writer CONNIE CONWAY from The 50's/60's. These are song poems and demos recorded by Conway for the MCI and Liberty Bell labels circa 1954-1957. This set includes his first recording with The Jimmy Wilcox Quintet, the plaintive "I Should Not Be Seeing You" (Liberty Bell S-9004-B) with Mr. Bud Isaacs on the Steel Guitar. Conway and his wife Norma were the "Goffin-King" of Phoenix music, penning dozens of songs, including the almost hit "A Teenager Feels It Too" for Denny Reed. Conway played and arranged for hundreds of sessions and was a co-owner of MCI Records and Desert Palms Publishing. He was also a recording artist on the Dot and Jamie record labels working with producer Lee Hazlewood (1957-1960). Conway played for many years in night clubs around Phoenix, lead his own Big Band at The Safari Hotel in Scottsdale, and taught high school music classes in his later years. This is a wonderful audio window into those by-gone days from the past...aka "The Good Old Days." This CD was made exclusively to promote Conway's music for use in many movies and television shows, (Mad Men was the first, and the new Fallout series on Prime is the latest). There are no notes or pictures like a "real" CD release. Not sold in stores, only here by Ben Dover, Inc. Brand new, out of the box.
