Description: This is a wonderful find. Here is a Remco Voice Control Astronaut Base, Style 738, from 1969! This toy is was Never Removed From Box (NRFB) and in Near Mint In Box (NMIB) condition! An extraordinary find! This toy was one of a set of two, the other being the Voice Control Astronaut Base, that were designed to put kids in the command chair of an commercial airport! You could "Listen to the Control Tower and Direct Direct Air Traffic" as the box states!In 1969, this was very cool stuff! With commercial flight with jets in full swing, kids were mesmerized by jumbo jets taking off and landing!The box is in pretty nice condition and the flaps are tight, one flap looks it was opened a few times, but I checked and the inside inserts are all intact.There is some shelf wear and very minor edge flaking on the paper of the photo cover from age.
