OUR UNIT IS ESSENTIALLY A MODIFIED LATER-DESIGN FORD 95 AMP ALTERNATOR THAT HAS HAD THE INTERNAL REGULATOR REPLACED WITH A SPECIAL BRUSH HOLDER ASSEMBLY THAT ALLOWS IT TO BE USED TO REPLACE LOWER AMP (60 AMPS OR LOWER) EXTERNALLY REGULATED FORD ALTERNATORS WITHOUT THE NEED FOR CONVERTING THE CHARGING SYSTEM TO AN INTERNALLY REGULATED DESIGN. OUR UNIT OFFERS HIGHER LOW AND HIGH RPM AMPERAGE OUTPUT, EXTENDED DURABILITY, AND LARGER DIODES AND HEAT SINK FOR IMPROVED HEAT TOLERANCE. ADDITIONALLY INTERNAL AIR FLOW EFFICIENCY THROUGH THE ALTERNATOR IS IMPROVED DUE TO OUR UNIT BEING EQUIPPED WITH AN INTERNAL COOLING FAN.
