Description: Red Garland Trio’s-“Manteca” Is A 2nd Mono Pressing On Prestige From 1958. Both Sides Have The Prestige Yellow Fireworks Label w/Bergenfield NJ Address. Side A Has “Hi Fidelity” Text Next To Spindle Hole While Side B Has “High Fidelity”. Both Sides Have The 70mm Deep Groove Press Ring & Both Runouts Have “RVG” Stamp. The Record Is A Heavier Pressed Plate Weighing In At Just Under 170g. It Has Expected Wear For A Record Over 60yrs Old. For The Most Part It Has Hairline Scuffs & Light Scratches, Nothing Deep & No Needle Drops. I Gave The Whole Record A Listen & Although It Plays w/Background Noise I Didn’t Notice Any Pops Or Ticks. Totally Still Enjoyable & One Of My Favorite Records Of Red’s. The Only Tune That Doesn’t Play At(VG) Is “Mort’s Report” Which Is Quieter Therefore Plays Closer To(VG-). The Cover Has Some Writing On The Back & A Bit Of Splitting On The Bottom Seam(VG-). See Photos “Moodsville Vol. 1 w/Eddie Lockjaw Davis”-Is An Original Mono Pressing From 1960. Both Sides Have The Prestige Moodsville Olive Color Label w/Bergenfield NJ Address. Both Sides Have The 70mm Deep Groove Press Ring & Both Runouts Have “RVG” Stamp. The Record Is A Promo Copy That Has A Fair Amount Of Wear, Mostly On The Lighter Side. Visually Similar To The Other Record But Doesn’t Play Quite As Good(VG-). I Only Listened To Couple Tunes & Was Pleased To Not Catch Any Skips. The Cover Is In Pretty Good Shape & Has DJ Copy Stamp On The Back(VG+). Both Of These Albums Can Fetch Some Descent Coin. I’m Gonna Keep Things Reasonable & Battle Our Current State Of Inflation.
