A little about Italian designer Guiliana Camerino….Guiliana Camerino, was an Italian designer whose handbags sold under the Roberta di Camerino label. Her company began in 1945, in Venice. She designed with a Baroque aesthetics, with vibrant colors, and lush textures. The handbags had distinctive shapes like the doctor’s satchel with its brass hardware which was made by the workers who made the fittings on Venetian gondolas.Her handbags are very sought after, and routinely dangle from midcentury stars and socialites, including Grace Kelly, Elizabeth Taylor and Madonna.
