Description: This J&W Ridgeway historical blue transferware spittle cup pictures the statehouse at Boston. It comes with the original lid that fits properly within the flared rim of the cup. The cup is approximately 2 3/8” tall excluding the lid and 3 3/8” in diameter excluding the handle. Condition: There are some minor glaze loss around the outer rim of the cup resulting in 1/16" or smaller dings and some crazing near the upper part of the handle and around the outer lip. There is also a small hairline crack running 2/3” of the way around the lower portion of the cup. It is unclear whether this is in the making or the handle was repaired. Regardless, the buyer should be aware that it is there. The lid appears to be in mint condition. There are no other visible chips or cracks to either the cup or the lid. Ships double boxed and insured.
