Description: Very Rare Antique Miniature Oil Lamp with Wedgwood Sage Green Jasperware Base. No other examples found for comparison. The pottery marks say "Wedgwood" "Made in England " and a letter "Y". ?1908-1910? It stands 5.5 inches tall and weighs 6.1 oz. The jasperware base itself stands 3.5" tall and approximately 3" at widest point. The applied relief design is lovely and free of breakage. It features acanthus, flowers and 3 figures including a child. The brass fitting has a nice patina. The wheel turns easily. I do not know if the lamp is in working condition. I have not attempted to unscrew the fitting from the base, but it seems empty (no sloshing). It does not have a glass globe. If desired, it would require one with a 1"-1.25" base, readily available through online retailers. The lamp is in need of a careful cleaning. It is being sold as found. As highlighted in the last photo, there is one small chip on the base, approximately 1/16". Zoom in on all photos as they serve as the best description of item.
