Description: I'm listing this doll kit and a couple more; I also have doll accessories and assembled Japanese dolls too! This is probably the last run of doll kits I'll be getting for awhile; shipping from my buyer in Japan is getting REALLY expensive and I don't think I'm going to be able to do these anymore where it'll be cost effective for me and also a fair price for *my* buyers! Anyways, I've got a lovely and desirable doll kit for you; this is the Edo Tea Girl; she's not a Geisha, but worked in the tea houses like Geisha did. Her costume was extremely popular and fashionable that normal women began to wear this specific style of yellow kimono with this plaid pattern too. This kit is in good, useable condition. It has a few storage flaws; the shibori fabric on the back of her hair has some slight yellowing. Her arms have some splotching on them; they are plastic and this appears to be plasticizer; it might come off; I don't know. There's a couple flea bites to her torso. On looking at the kit; you won't see feet; she does have tabi socks; and the kit guide instructs that you should stuff said tabi socks to make her feet yourself. This kit also uses a sewn on method of construction; so she doesn't come with a pin box; rather a small spool of thread that does have some yellow splotching on it from storage. I think it's still useable; but the maker could opt to use pins or different thread at their discretion. She has a wooden base versus resin, which is nice. Her parasol is in great condition; but I would say that it might not be best to be opened; I can't guarantee if it won't break. I've had in the past bought these and the other umbrellas and parasols from Japanese dolls; look mint and still break upon opening for the first time just due to age and I like to warn people about that whenever I'm selling a kit with umbrella or selling the umbrellas on their own. No odors.
