Description: Very rare Foley England nursery ware cup and saucer from 1900's, also known as the nursery rhyme set "Once Upon a Time an Old Red Hen". I could not find an exact match on-line; there is only one listing on Etsy- the 3 pieces set from the same nursery ware line, that was professionally apprised. This set has an early "The Foley China England" mark. The cup and the saucer are in a very good antique condition, no chips, no cracks, no loss of enameling, no crazing.There is only a small wear of gold plating on the rim, as expected with the age and the use, and a very small "pit" on the saucer that came from the factory.The cup is about 2 6/8 tall, and about 3" in a diameter, that saucer is about 5.5".
