Description: This Listing Is For A RARE Aires Automat Medium Format TLR Camera, with Original Leather Case, and Metal Front Lens Cap, in good condition. (Serial Number: 54-01320, Japan) Camera is in good condition, with some signs of previous use.Body is in nice shape, paint and chrome looks good, with some paint-loss around the wind crank, and other light marks from handling. Leatherette covering is intact, but starting to peal in places.Features an Aires Coral 7.5cm f3.5 lens, which looks good, with some internal dust, and a spot of fungus on the rear elements.Shutter is functional, speeds from 1/25th to 1/500th sound accurate, while 1 second to 1/10th stick open.Aperture looks clean, with no oil, but adjustment lever is a bit stiff.Camera focuses easily, with a bit of firmness when turning the focusing dial.Finder extends easily, and focusing screen looks bright, with some dust.Frame counter is functional, and resets to zero when back door is opened.One of the feet on the bottom of the camera has broken off, causing the camera to be slightly unstable when placed on a flat surface, however this has no effect on functionality.Includes a unique, metal Aires lens cap, that tightens on to the camera, and an original leather case in good shape, with some wear and scuffs from previous use.The Aires Automat is a particularly rear model of camera, with a production run of about only one year.
