Description: RARE “ADORABLE” ORIGINAL ANTIQUE JDK KESTNER #237 HILDA CHARACTER BABY BISQUE DOLL 13”. Adorable petite Hilda character baby doll with rare head mold 237. She is marked J.D.K. 237, made by Kestner. She is such a cutie! She has no chips, or cracks to her head. It appears that her body has been beautifully redone as I have tried to show in the pictures. She has an open mouth with 2 teeth and a tongue and stationery blue gray eyes. She has a slight paint rub to her right cheek, her nose, and upper lip which is hardly noticeable in the up close picture of her face. She is wearing a long antique pleated lace trimmed gown and a long cotton under slip. I believe her short blonde wig to be mohair. Her left arm is bent and she is holding out her right hand as is the correct position of the “Hilda” doll body. She is a very fine example of the antique Kestner Hilda and would make a fine addition to any collection!
