Description: When you think a classic looking 1980s boombox, this JVC unit - Made in Japan - is exactly what comes to mind. When it’s powered on, and it’s playing music from the radio, it looks great, sounds great. Reception is strong, As you can see from pictures, it is missing some knobs, including volume and balance. The volume and balance does need some electric contact cleaning as the left speaker will cut in and out. For the video demonstration, it was working fine. The tape deck is stuck shut, and it needs repair. There are marks, scuffs, sticker residue on the top of the unit. There are some stains on the speaker inside the grills. Makes a great period piece as it sits that would look cool in any garage or man cave, movie set. But if you’re handy, and would like to bring it back to its full 1980s glory, what an awesome project.
