Rare 1800's George Wostenholm Celebrated Cutlery Stag Handled Pocket Knife

Description: Rare 1800's George Wostenholm Celebrated Cutlery Stag Handled Pocket Knife Vintage gnarly stag handle pocket knife with nicely matched handle slabs, kinda looks like one thick antler was cut down the middle and both sides of the same antler were used to make the slabs. Nice fat, beefy grip with extra wide width at the back end. The slabs are in excellent condition with great patina and eye appeal. The middle pins by the spine are cracked very lightly, you have to look close to even see them. The other six pins are all in good condition, no cracks. The pivot pin holding the blade has been amateurishly replaced with a simple screw and does not really work. It allows the blaed to flip open and close, but allows a lot of side to side blade wobble when opened. George Wolstenholm has been around since about 1795 and has used a variety of blade and tang stamps, including: Rockingham Works (c. 1810-1848), Washington Works (c.1848-1870’s), Wostenholm Celebrated Cutlery (1860’s-1890) and the word England was post 1890.
