Description: FELLOW COLLECTORS, HERE IS A DEAL FOR YOU! BUY ANY FIVE ITEMS AT ONE TIME IN MY STORE AND EBAY WILL DISCOUNT YOUR TOTAL BY 20% WHEN YOU CHECK OUT. IT IS THE LEAST I CAN DO FOR FELLOW COLLECTORS WHO LOOK FOR GOOD DEALS AS MUCH AS I DO WHEN I GO TO ADD TO MY COLLECTION. SO HERE ARE THE BIG QUESTIONS: WHAT IS A RADIO SHOW? WHY COLLECT THEM? WHERE DO THEY COME FROM? Well, those are good questions, especially if you have never known of them.Radio Shows are syndicated productions by one of several large and small distributors who supply broadcast product to radio stations normally during weekends when the usual air personalities have a break. Many air on Saturday or Sunday evenings or during overnight segments. They often feature some of the best known voices for their genre from across the country thus the Dick Clark's and Casey Kasem's and Rick Dees and Dick Bartley and so many others. People collect them for various reasons. Some just collect the series because they like it and want them all. Some collect their favorite artists or genre of music. Rather than an album by the artist or a compilation bought at Wal Mart or downloaded through iTunes or wherever, they have a unique presentation of their favorite artist or music not available anywhere else and always with dj presentations which were very entertaining. Some collect interviews with their favorite artists as most shows had interview segments. Some collect commercials especially old car commercials but certainly not limited to only those. AND, these shows are in limited quantity. They were pressed just for syndicated stations in the United States. Most have just a few still in circulation. Some of the more popular shows may have as many as a few hundred of each week's show that survived but think about it. A few hundred for some 200 million Americans and millions of overseas collectors who look for unique presentations of their favorite artists or form of music is about as rare as rare can be.AND, that isn't the whole story! Many stations just threw them away after airing because they could never be aired again due to the dated commercial content and the lack of storage space at most radio stations (Believe me, I know! I work at one!)SO they are increasingly hard to find. They were first distributed on reel to reel tape if the show goes back that far into the 60's, then later on lp, later on CD and even later (after 2000 for most shows) on CDR. Now they are not available at all to collectors since they are distributed by digital download much like you get your music from iTunes. These shows become rarer and rarer every day because the people who buy them hold on to them and the people who sell them, like me, are running out of them. My best radio general manager source for these shows is completely out so I am at the mercy of finding a good deal here and there but never from a regular source. The shows that you get now and hold on to will never decrease in value and only increase. I have prided myself since the start to provide the best and fairest cost with a no holds barred guarantee that you will be happy or I refund your money. I sell them for near what I bought them for. As the postal service increases their rates, my shipping rates over the years has decreased. And, I have one of the biggest radio show libraries in the world consisting of over ten thousand shows, so many that I don't even know all that I have and am sometimes amazed when I go to look for one show and find another that I did not realize I had. Finally, it is Americana at its best. Whether the show be from the 60's or 2000's, rock, countdown, oldies, country, classical, religious, jazz or big band, it is unique and home grown. And you just can't find them anywhere. Even record stores that still exist will rarely have any. Radio shows are wonderful representations of the real golden age of radio at least music wise. And every one you buy is an original, not a copy, not a remake - all are limited editions in the hundreds at most and most much less. Once you get hooked, like me, it is a love affair for life! OK guys and gals, A REAL TREAT!!! I am beginning to list more of my GREAT FLASHBACK SHOWS. This is probably the best classic rock show ever to air anywhere. And, while the music can be found anywhere, this show presents music in such creative sets it will please and amaze. You will hear all the best in classic rock for TWO hours on each show, ARRANGED IN GREAT THEMES. Host BILL ST. JAMES, the host from the beginning of the show in the late 80's when still on lp. is a great dj and every show has ONE one hour theme and ONE HOUR HAS THREE or FOUR mini themes. The show comes on 2 CD's (TWO hours) in perfect condition looking just like they were just pressed and played only once, the day they were aired. They come along with their cue sheets in excellent condition. (The listing picture is a generic picture of the series and not this show however they all look the same.) The CD's are quite attractive with The FLASHBACK logo across the top in bright colors as seen in the listing picture. They were produced as a quality item even though they were pressed for this single playing on the broadcast date. These CD's were played only once, the day they aired. One of the most enjoyable and unpredictable features of this great show is that many times during each theme snippets of commercials, news items, interviews, movie soundtracks, tv soundtracks and other entertainment related to the theme is intermixed with the music in perfect relation to the theme. It makes the hour all that much more enjoyable and special. AND, following the last hour are approximately ten tracks of bonus theme material including collages and interviews and entertainment bits all in the clear which make them great for download into your personal collection AND a FLASHBACK STARPACK , a bonus track containing a collage of one group's major work in mix form. Please note that this the TWO hour version of the Flashback show. The show came in two and four hour versions depending on what version the stations wanted. The two hour version contains the first and last hour of the week's four hour version. The cue sheets come with the two hour show just as with the four hour version along with all the extras on the last page of the cue sheet.Of course this two hour version is more economical and is a great show and a great buy for your collection but both versions are readily available in my ebay store. This week's show is #768 in the series and aired on SEPTEMBER 17, 2001. Exact song listings can be seen in the pictured cue sheets. Even the national commercials are interesting and fun to hear after all these years. . You don't have to hear any of those boring local commercials and if you don't like the national commercials just hit the next track and off you go back to the music. This show needs to be in your collection. Get them while you can! Like all other quality shows, these shows are no longer available. Collectors can no longer get their hands on this quality material so the ones that are available keep going up and up in value. Don't worry, though, I will always sell my shows at reasonable prices. I am a collector too and know how hard it is to find a good deal anymore. These shows are super fun and super rare. They are distributed by ABC Broadcasting and are in NEW CONDITION, PLAYED ONLY ON THE DAY OF NETWORK BROADCAST. CUE SHEETS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AS WELL. This is the genuine original show that was sent to the radio station for airing. It is NOT an unauthorized copy but the Real McCoy!!! I personally guarantee that every radio show that I sell is the original show sent to stations. You are truly buying a show that will only increase in value and I am selling them at a price very close to what I paid for it. Remember that this and all the radio music shows that you see on eBay are not just about the music - the music can be found anywhere. It is the mixture of great music and great announcing that makes it so entertaining. As well, it is a piece of radio and music history. You just aren't going to find these shows around very much longer as everything is now digitized and downloaded for play and shows are no longer sent out on CD's. Think of what they will be worth in a few years! (IF you wanted to sell.) I am selling to share with other music lovers what I was able to get at a reasonable price. It is a great show and would be a valuable addition to your collection. As always, for U.S. and International buyers, I charge only shipping on the first show you buy so the more you buy the more money you will save. Good Luck and God Bless You.
