A lift pump system is a must have for your 2015-2016 6.6L Duramax diesel. The fuel system on your Duramax diesel truck is the heart of the vehicle’s performance and reliability. This low pressure (preset at 8-10 psi) LML lift pump mounts in front of the fuel tank to the frame jig. The pressure side connects to the factory fuel line that feeds the CP4 injection pump. The suction/fuel supply side connects to the 1/2″ draw straw suction tube that is installed in the top of the fuel tank. Due to the fact the Duramax does not have a factory lift pump, these trucks usually see the most benefit from an AirDog lift pump fuel system. Due to extra stress on your fuel system from either high mileage and/or additional performance modifications, like a tuner or larger injectors, your injection pump can become weak over time. This may result in a drop of performance, reliability, and fuel economy.
