It is 3D printed with ABS plastic, capable of withstanding temperatures of up to 105 C. This CPU brace will be ready to install with no further modifications necessary. Each individual CPU brace is carefully measured for correct thickness and sanded down if necessary before shipment. When the system is re-assembled with this CPU brace installed, the CPU may experience better thermal conductivity with the heatsink, resulting in lower operating temperatures. This CPU brace allows for an even distribution of pressure across the entire CPU, making it a safe alternative to the "eraser mod" which applies uneven pressure and can warp or permanently damage the CPU. The CPU brace can be installed to any compatible PS3 that is sent to me for service.
