Description: For sale is a 1976 911S engine which sat in dry storage for years. Because the cam end is broken, I never tried to rotate the engine. I looked inside the cylinder head spark plug holes with a scope engine to look for internal problems and could not see any damage. I bought it from someone "as-is" and that it how I intend to sell it. He claimed it was a good runner when the cam broke. According to Porsche engine guru Bruce Anderson, this engine can be the basis of one of the most satisfying air-cooled engines if rebuilt with new high compression pistons, "E" cams, Webers or PMOs and early style heat exchangers. I have a pair of 1972 911E cams but have not checked them out yet, and a pair of 1972 heat exchangers available if someone is interested. I will ship on a a commercial carrier to a commercial address at actual shipping cost.I will need the ZIP to provide a quote.
