Description: This is one of a series of 8 vintage watercolor portraits by artist Phyllis Londraville (1920-2002). Phyllis was born into a family of artists and she attended Chouinard Art Institute. She is s best known for her genre paintings of children, circuses, kittens, dolls, puppets and flower gardens. Phyllis later married another artist, Albert Londraville, and both were recognized for their artistic talents while living in the Los Angeles area. I acquired most of the large collection of paintings from the Albert Londraville estate and this collection also included work by Phyllis. Within a portfolio of her work was a wonderful set of 8 large watercolor portraits painted in the fall of 1972 through the spring of 1973. They are a remarkable set of paintings depicting life during that timeframe. Popular songs included “American Pie”, “A Horse With No Name”, and “Papa Was A Rollin’ Stone”. This watercolor portrait of a man with a necklace is 24” x 18” (27” x 21” framed). All 8 watercolor portraits are available on EBAY. Please consider buying multiples as they very much compliment each other. They will look great in your home or office. This watercolor is part of the Londraville collection I purchased and I will provide a letter of provenance that it was painted by Phyllis Londraville. See “Seller’s other items”. Over 200 original paintings at 50-75% off gallery prices, including 100 at less than $500.
