Description: Pflueger Supreme, 6 wt, 8’ 6”, 2-piece fly rod, IM-8; PSY 86-56 With 2-section divided rod tube, 55 in long, 2 in diameter Used; Very nice condition. This sat in its rod tube for years after a couple of attempts to use it, according to the original owner, and looks it. I test cast it from shore. Hook keeper; stripping guide + 7 snake guides + tip guide = 9 guides total Up locking reel seat with 2 locking nuts; half wells cork grip; modern ferrule. Pflueger used an inexpensive reel seat on these. The rest of the components are of better quality. Rod, reel seat, and tube are 100% functional as new. Minor cosmetic blemishes only, described below: Reel seat - one small scuff mark, shown in photos Grip - very slight discoloration, no damage, minor loss of filler Blank - one small blemish below the word Pflueger on the butt section, only shows under certain angles of light (see phots); the rest of the rod blank is in excellent condition. Guides and wraps - solid, tight wraps; guides align perfectly; a couple of wraps have very small marks that can be seen with the naked eye in the right light but which photos couldn’t capture. Tube - a few scuff marks at the bottom. I have not fished this rod but did test cast it from shore with a few lines of different tapers and weights. In my opinion, this rod responds well to over lining. Happy to share what I found if helpful. Please reach out.
