Description: Offered for sale: Antique Petrus Regout Maestricht Holland PERSIAN 8.5" Plate with written Note of Provenance. Early Sphnix mark - late 19th Century. Note of Provenance was taped to the back of the plate referencing WWII. The note reads: "This was given to me by a Holland (Dutch) Family in Maestricht, Holland, when we were invading the first German City (Aachen) during World War II. I used to give them left over food from my rations that I couldn't eat because it was so awful, but they loved it and wouldn't take it anymore if I didn't accept the plate" The Plate is Hand Painted and in Excellent Antique Condition with no chips or cracks. Very minor crazing underside rim.
