Description: FIRST EDITION STATED. SOFT COVER BOOK OF 4 PAGES WITH AN UPPER CORNER BUMP AND MINOR RUBBING TO OUTER COVERS. RED MARK ON BOTTOM OF EXPOSED PAGE EDGES TO REFLECT IT WAS OVERSTOCK. AGE RELATED PAPER TONING AND TONING TO COVERS WITH MINOR EDGE WEAR TO GREEN CARDS. Interesting in that the author wrote this book in 1955. It never got a second printing to my knowledge. 18 years later, the author patented a "pay television system that offers a home box office". "Patrons in their living rooms or motel quarters can... get selected movies or special programs such as prizefights." I don't think that his "home box office" was the current HBO, and I think he lost out at the end. I read an article from 1973 in the New York Times and they had a whole story about him patenting his system but I didn't see much about him afterwards. Either way, this is great source data from before the existence of such a creature. PLEASE USE ZOOM FUNCTION TO INSPECT ALL PHOTOS. radio2 bag E
