Description: Pat's Audio platter thrust bearing for the Pioneer PL-41 turntable has been precision machined with a true flat surface from the highest grade material (Delrin) which is very durable and has extremely low friction for years of quiet, smooth spinning. With over 500 sold our bearing is unlike other bearings being offered as ours is the proper diameter and height which is critical for accurate platter speed. And like the original thrust bearing ours is a true flat surface. We don't cut a dimple in the center as that adds friction to the spindle. Included with your purchase is the all important replacement gasket to seal the bearing cap and prevent oil leakage. Installation is straightforward. Remove the cap from the end of the spindle bearing. Clean out the old thrust pad remnants, retain any thin metal shims found inside the cap, insert the new thrust bearing, add a small amount of oil, install the new gasket over the threaded end of the spindle bearing, and screw the bearing cap back on.
