Description: Patek Philippe & Cie Swiss Watches 1944 Print Ad Du World War 2 Luxury French From a collection of Du Magazines preserved from a Rare Book Store in Boston. Du Magazine was an art & Culture magazine based in Switzerland. It began in 1941 during the peak of World War 2, and as a result many of their advertisers came from within Swiss borders, namely Swiss Luxury Precision watches. By the onset of the 1950's, Du transformed into what would be more aptly described as the Swiss version of "Life," and as a result, the luxury watch advertisers moved on, and they were replaced by traditional middle-class mainstream advertisers. Vintage Du's are very rarely made available, and many of these full page print advertisements for the world's most elite watches are one of a kind as a result. If you like this print advertisement, and you would like to see more, visit and follow the store to see the entire collection. Approximately 13 x 10" - Very good condition. Very framable. See the photos. Shipped in a sturdy tube, and combined shipping is available.
