Description: A cool looking device. It has interesting features. I don't understand why they had to put the battery access compartment inside the tape head portion itself. That is just one of its interesting features. The batteries that were formally in it were from the late 80s or 90s. Corroded to the point as to where it looked like an extra long AA battery. But after prying the mess out of there the negative spring side didn't look to bad and it seemed to still have bare contact surface. The other side took a hit from the leakage. I don't know how well I got it but I kept using metal cleaner with a swab until the batteries registered. As a result the digital display came on and the AM/FM bands were picking up signal. Plugged in some headphones and yea I was getting sound. It was cool and it brought me back in time! The tape player portion I got nothing. But the display read tape. So there you have it. A partially working walkman. Selling the unit in AS IS condition as a repair or parts unit. Is to be sold AS IS regardless of what the description states or does not state. No future partial refunds for any issues etc. It is a 30 plus year old device the risk is totally yours. Not interested in what your repair guy says or cost. Offering the item to a radio hobbyist who wants it for what it is just giving you the opportunity. NO buyer remorse victims please.
