The artwork panels are hand painted watercolor paintings on paper (see photos). The item is Chinese in origin (see photos). There are four nature landscape paintings in this book that include: A crab, some small chick chickens, an insect with plants and a flower (see photos). The item has a good deal of writing in the book in Chinese calligraphy (see photos) This item is from an estate liquidation (see photos). The book in total measures about 10.5 inches (26.67 centimeters) high, it is about 4.2 inches (10.67 centimeters) wide. Each painted panel measures about 7.5 inches (19.05 centimeters) high, and each is about 2.3 inches (5.84 centimeters) wide. The book has losses to the cloth cover, the pages have obvious scratches and scuffs to the paper, and it has other signs of wear (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item).
