Description: This unique picnic basket/purse is a must-have for collectors of wicker and Occupied Japan items. Made from high-quality rattan and bamboo, it features a beautiful woven pattern and a cube shape. Piece is 4.5 inches tall, 8 inches across and 9.5 inches deep. The handle is strong and secure as well as the wires holding the lid to the bottom piece. There is a small bit of fraying on the loop that holds the top piece closed. Does not cause issues with the usage of the lid. On the inside corners, there is black that seems to be there purposely because it is so even. Areas as pictured. No black can be seen from the outside if the basket. Including note that was inside basket when we purchased it. This is a beautiful piece and in excellent vintage condition.
