These were sold right after the Berlin Wall fell in 1989 and Russia was trying out the American & European Markets This is an original period item from the 1990, we recommend for display as normal use could require a tune-up as these are 30+ years old and more fragile than a new watch. This is new old stock (NOS) and is new but never used and was stored in the back room of a watch store for years. This is from a modest find of Pobeda watches and is described fully below. Please read full details below:__________________________________________________________________ Character / Theme: Nice Blue Face face with a sub second hand dial and has the Russian Stars in Gold all around the edge of the dial. Says: Pobeda, Made in the USSR and something in Russian Condition: New Old Stock .. Stored well, as new, nothing stands out. Working: Yes Special Functions: The second hand is at the 6 position.. Type of Movement: Manual Wind (Don't Overwind). Mens / Womens / Childs / Unisex: Unisex Brand/ Licensed: Neat end of the USSR Soviet error Russian watches, not sure, looks like they were made for export. Type of Strap / Bracelet: Black Case and steel back, Rubber strap that smells like rubber.. May wear down, but does have strong Oder.. Back & Metal Content: Steel Back, Base metal case, Length of strap is about 9+" inches long so should be good for 8.5" wrist (Not returnable for incorrect size), Original black rubber bands, seem sturdy, but because of age, may need to be replaced, and would eventually break when wearing, so selling as a collectible for display. Date / Age: marked, 1990 on the paper, real vintage watch Size of Face: About 1.4" inches across (Medium) Additional Statements: These are mid quality watches, they function, they keep time, but not always perfect. These are older watches that may require an overhaul sooner or later, stay away from any water, Manual winding is require, don't wind tight, or you can damage. Recommend light use, not sure how durable they are, but great for display or education on a technology that is disappearing quickly. We sell these watches for display as a collectible only.
