Description: Offered here is this wonderful Norman Rockwell “The Catch” Framed Lithograph Art Print by Dave Grossman Designs in 1978. The original painting was executed in 1917 for a cover of COUNTRY GENTLEMEN magazine. It features a classic Rockwell scene of boys getting into trouble! The boys are sitting on a bank, fishing. One of the boys accidentally hooks their dogs collar and they all react to the ridiculous feat. The color palette is red white and blue and has a wonderful composition. A great example of Rockwell’s personal style. This is in good condition. It is framed and matted professionally. It looks as though a few (very faint) spots have collected under the glass around the matting (these spots cover about 5 inches of space.). They’re not extremely noticeable but they could be cleaned up if the frame was taken apart. The very bottom edge by the Norman Rockwell embossed stamp is slightly discolored from age. These flaws are very faint and almost unnoticeable when viewing the entire print. Frame is wood and of a great quality. This is hand numbered in pencil (249 of 1000). A limited printing. No more have been made since. Measures 24” wide and 29.5” long. Weighs 8 Lbs. Please see all photos for more information on condition.
