The main drawback of these first Nikon DSLRs was the infamous Ni-Mh batteries, expensive, unreliable, heavy, and with very limited capacity and lifespan. The battery pack has been modified to use two 3.7 volt lithium ion batteries 18650, which can be removed and charged in a separate charger.
