Description: An old cabinet card, no imprint, probably taken by Northrop, Monticello, Iowa, circa 1896. A wedding portrait of Major Noble George Washington Winner (1869-1928) and his wife, Mary Jane Gongaware (1878-1925), who lived in Monticello. They were a famous dwarf couple who travelled around the country and sold their photographs; married at Mason, Michigan on 3 February 1896 and this portrait was taken soon after.
