These are completely natural - - no clay, varnish or fillers. The corncob bowl outside surface is just as it came from the cornstalk, and is naturally fuzzy, which makes them smoke and "breathe" naturally. They're great for trying a new tobacco blend, allowing you try a blend without ghosting or flavoring from the previous blend. These are bored to 7/8", the same as all other Missouri Meerschaum full-size pipes. The natural qualities of the corncob (harvested from a unique type of corn) doesn't trap moisture or goo, making for a very clean smoking experience.
