Using pliers, remove the marker's end cap by slightly twisting it from the housing. Then use the pliers to remove the marker nib — the writing point — by sliding it out the tip of the marker. Discard this nib to avoid a mess. Using a hobby knife, pierce the marker housing below the plastic point as shown, and slowly rotate the marker.
