Description: Michele Tuegel Woven 3D Paper Art Sculpture 1984 “Dimensional Weave” vintage 80s For your consideration is this cool 1984 paper (dyed cotton fiber) woven sculpture by noted artist and teacher, Michele Tuegel. A great addition to your Teugel collection or to decorate your retro 80s pad! A mixed media 3D artwork by Michele Tuegel. The work is constructed of handmade cotton fiber and dyes, and mounted on a white opaque acrylic frame. The piece is signed in pencil and information is written in ink on the back of the piece. There is a sticker which indicates that it possibly was priced at $400 back when originally sold. Browns, tans, blues, pinks. The artwork itself is in excellent condition with no visible defects. The frame has 3 edge chips, mostly noticeable from behind but slightly visible when looking at them from the side. The chip on the right side did result in a hairline crack to the acrylic. It is stable and fine to hang but the crack is somewhat noticeable especially if looking for it. It appears the sculpture is glued to the acrylic frame so I don’t know how easy it would be to remove and reframe. I would consult a professional to avoid damaging the artwork.
