The process includes stripping of old paint, filling in any deep gashes, repainting, machining if necessary for finish and clear coating.-A repaired wheel is a wheel that was previously structurally damaged such as a bend or a crack. Bends are repaired by heating the alloy to a temperature hot enough to make it slightly more malleable to avoid cracking or without overheating and damaging the molecular structure of the metal. A crack would be repaired by cutting into the metal to remove any impurities and then welding it back together by matching the alloy of the metal and filing it down to remove any possible vibrations.
