Description: Melles Griot model 58-PSM-295 DPSS laser head Controller with 58-BLDR-605 DPSS laser head.. The controller is functional with a new replacement DC power supply. Generally good cosmetic condition with some scratches and dings from use and storage. The laser head is excellent cosmetic condition but is totally dead. Its pump diode is either damaged. Multiple emitters are dead and the diode voltage is low so the controller doesn't drive it properly. The crystal assembly is believed to be complete and intact but I have no way to test it. Note that while this controller will probably work with most Melles Griot high power DPSS lasers like the BLD and GSS series, the settings need to be matched to the laser head. That doesn't happen auto magically and a mismatch can blow the pump diode if nothing else. If you get to the point of replacing the diode, I may be able to assist. Includes good controller with key and interlock plug, and DEAD laser head. Got it? IMPORTANT: The emitter spacing on these pump diodes is believed to be 0.525 mm. THIS IS NOT STANDARD. If the diode is replaced with a standard diode (usually 0.500 mm emitter spacing), the fiber combiner must also be replaced. Sets of diode + combiner may be available. However, replacement can be tricky. This is set #1. There is Set #2 that is almost identical. Contact me with an offer on both if interested.
