Description: This is rare and delightful “true” 1st edition of Fritz Willis’s, Me Too. (Many other books that claim to be 1st editions are dated 1945 and this gem was published in 1944.} Story & Illustrations by Fritz Willis Published in 1944 Publishers - the Marcel Rodd Company, Publishers, Hollywood 1st edition Hardcover with Dust Jacket CONDITION is Very Good - Excellent *Considering the age of this book and what sellers of the same book on other sites (Abe’s etc) are categorizing, I’d say this copy is in Excellent Condition. However if using the standard book condition breakdowns, most would categorize this book as “Very Good.” Which is still very good! What’s Wrong… -There is a small tear in the back dust jacket’s bottom edge. -There is a tear on the inside back flap -Dust jacket is in very good condition with a 1/8” indentation under the”e” in Me Too What’s Right…(or more right than wrong) - Book and binding- very good with minor wear on the inner binding - Pages are near fine, clean and without markings or tears - Original price remains on Flap - $1 - On the inside top hardback cover is a bookstore sticker reading “Alexander’s Marysville, Ca.” *Marysville was home to most of my relatives on my mother’s side. My grandmother bought this for my mom in 1944 at Alexander’s when my mom was 10 years old. I think the book is geared to a much younger audience and wasn’t often read, which is probably why it is in such good condition. MY 2 Cents- -A wonderfully charming story of a curious and special duckling trying to make sense of the big world around him. While “Me Too” the protagonist of this epic story may often be left behind, he will, most certainly, be fondly remembered by all those who read about him. -The illustrations alone are stand alone artworks. - Not to brag but this copy is in the best condition of all the copies I’ve seen on-line recently. And I have a much better price. Just saying… Thanks for stopping by and please contact me with any questions or concerns. Shop safely and remember to always wear a Helmüt. -Jason
