Maxfield Parrish (1870-1966) was an American painter and illustrator active in the first half of the 20th century. He is known for his distinctive saturated hues and whimsical mythological scenes. The illustrations in "The Knave of Hearts" are considered some of Parrish's finest works. "The Knave of Hearts" is 14 1/16 x 11.75 x 5/8" in size. It is in good condition with the pages spilt from the hinge, some foxing interior pages, and numerous nicks and scratches throughout. Please use the included photos as a condition guide.
