After Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira was hit by a pitch to set up runners on the corners, consecutive doubles by Alex Rodriguez and Jorge Posada resulted in a back-breaking trio of runs scoring, setting up legendary closer Mariano Rivera for a relatively stress-free bottom of the 9th inning to secure the Yankees their third win of the series.
